Why recognition matters for dental practices

Dental patients choose a practice largely on trust, and trust is hard to show on a website. Independent recognition gives prospective patients a reason to believe what a practice says about itself.

Trust patients can see

An award logo on a practice website, in the reception area or on a Google Business profile signals that people outside the practice have reviewed its work. For treatments with a high personal or financial cost, such as implants, orthodontics or cosmetic dentistry, that reassurance can decide whether a patient books a consultation.

Recruitment and retention

Clinicians and nurses want to join practices that take quality seriously. Being shortlisted gives a team something to be proud of and gives recruiters a concrete point of difference. Many practices find the preparation itself useful: gathering outcomes data and patient feedback for an entry is a good audit of what is working.

Visibility and search

  • Award listings and press releases create links back to the practice website, which helps local search rankings.
  • Finalist and winner announcements give the practice fresh, shareable content for social channels.
  • Local press often covers regional winners, reaching patients who do not yet know the practice.

Which category to enter

The official award categories will be published once confirmed. Choose the category whose criteria best match your work, and tailor your evidence to those criteria.
